We're approaching that time, kids. Yes, it's NaNo time, where the fae buries herself in a little cave, dimly lit by a computer screen, and spews vast quantities of words into a little file, obsessively checking her word count, finding the strangest tidbits amusing, and insisting on sharing the fun and pain and angst with anybody who'll hold still.

So..who wants to hold still for it this year? I'm updating the nanowrimo filter. Opt-in only, so if you don't want to hear about it, just don't respond. My regular journal may include the occasional wordcount update, but if you want to play along on the home game, tell me to put you in the filter.

Free Will Astrology - Gemini - Week of May 20:

I love my regular hikes to the top of idyllic Mohawk Hill. Green hills cascade in every direction. Horses graze in a nearby pasture. Red-tailed hawks soar overhead. But there is one blight: a gray metal storage structure surrounded by barbed-wire fence. At the climax of my ascent today, I rejoiced to find that this monstrosity had been improved. Artistic vandals had paid a visit, covering it with bright graffiti. The yellow, blue, and red designs were mostly indecipherable except for one patch that clearly said "Test Your Strength." That brings me to the point of this week's horoscope, Gemini. Your assignment is to carry out a legal version of what the vandals did: Bring dynamic, interesting disruption to a sterile, ugly scene, thereby testing your strength.

hey, other people who use feeds to get comics and suchlike...is there a place where I can see a complete list of available feeds, or at least search for a couple of things I want to see if they have yet?

heh..I like this one, too..and once again, I seem to have a knack for writing entries that produce a non-accurate haiku, syllable-count wise. oh well. it's still pretty. (I suppose I could read it in Elizabethan english..)
