alright, I went along with the group, I saw Ep II.

it was fun. I'll admit it. I enjoyed myself. sure, it's not exactly the best and deepest writing in the universe. but it's Star Wars. Please, let's not expect it to suddenly become classic literature.

Anakin was amusing, simply by virtue of being _intense_ and _dramatic_..such a good teenage "I'm loosing it" Jedi..and as others have mentioned, we now know where Luke got it.

Padme is, as always, gorgeous. I want I want I want...her wardrobe. amoung other things.
The two of them together..akward at times, but still sweet, for those of us who like the romantic stuff.

the action scenes sometimes got a little out of hand, simply because they deliberately set it up so you couldn't see a lot of what was going on. But still cool, obviously. c'mon..pretty lights everywhere..

and all I have to say about Dooku (or however the hell you spell it) is..alright, two things.
1)when he flew off on that little scooter, did anyone else notice that the music was strikingly like the wicked witch theme from Wizard of Oz?
2)was anyone else thinking "Quidditch match!!"?

that's all for now..

Is that where you guys were last night? I was too lethargic/ill to even get here until about 9 or so at night (yeah, 24 hours after I was supposed to) and eventually I ended up at some horrid nightclub in Marshalltown.

I'm on my computer, which I hauled down so Brendan could make massive upgrades... unfortunately his roommate's dog was nice enough to crap under "my" desk, yay.

I don't feel so bad for not making more of an effort to find people then... ever since I fell asleep during Episode I, I tend to be (more of) a social outcast when Star Wars is afoot. :)

Anything planned for tonight?

nah..that was Friday night. last night we were all in Read, as usual. Not that we were doing much. just movies. people were wandering off by a little after midnight.

ah, Read, as usual. i had the strangest dream about grinnell and read and aaron adn abby the other night when i was really sick. something about duffle bags full of bunnies for one of abby's classes and the search for the perfect cup of tapioca, or possibly rice pudding, covered with cinnamon and under a spotlight. i have details if anyone wants them. enjoying yourself there?

Some of my friends were complaining about the dialogue. I was like: "Hello? Star Wars? That's no moon! Use the Force, Luke! We're not talking a French drawing-room comedy here." People are silly.

And you aren't the only one to make the Wizard of Oz connection. I think it was intentional.
