Ice storm warning for central and eastern MO, and most of southern IL, has been extended through Monday. The warning for southern MO is through sometime Sunday, as of the last update. The forecast is predicting more snow, freezing rain, "wintry mix" for the next three days. In other words, this ain't over yet.

Those of you in affected areas, let me know you're safe, please?
I'm fine, I still have power *keeps her paws crossed on that one*, mom's here with me because it wasn't safe for her to drive home last night, and we have plenty of supplies for ourselves and the felines.
Be safe, everyone. They shut down a major highway intersection near me because of a tractor-trailer accident last night, and that was early on.

In a side note, those sweet potato chips that pringles just came out with? muchly nummy, and not completely heart-attac-inducing levels of unhealthy, either. :)

All safe here. Very light film of ice on stuff now, though more to come I'm told. I've still got power and all the supplies I need so all is well.

I should probably try to get motivated to do chore-type-things but I keep getting distracted by Pet-The-Kitty or Fraggles or other fun, non-chore type things.

*pets the kitties* Good. hopefully there won't be any more nasty power-outage type storm results. there's been quite enough of that in recent memory. I was figuring I'd call and check on you sometime today, but wasn't sure if you were trying to catch up on sleepage this morning.

Woke up around 8:30 this morning, not sure why. Had morning tea and pastries, need to consider lunch at some point. Currently dawdling over sewing with Fraggles. Planning a lazy day...

*grins* got up at 7:30 to spend time online with someone, and there's a truly nummy-smelling coffeecake (with sour cream topping and apples spices) in the oven, and mom seems to be in a decent mood, so it's officially a low-key afternoon for a while. is a goodness.

DD's been @ work for over 12 hours and has no sign of relief yet, but we've got power, water, milk, food, all that stuff. Which intersection?

oh geez. I'd go keep her company, but as mentioned, not budging for a while.

70-63 was shut down for a while last night. I haven't looked at the reports to see what the current status is.

Well... I finally made it home. At 11 am... I finally made it home. My feet hurt, my back hurts, my brain hurts, but I'm home. I'm checking up on people, eating my cornbread pancakes, and going to bed.

And then I get to start all over again tonight.

I just got power back. Hooray!

Safe and sound... Went to orientation, and a merchant committee meeting. Home now and only planning on running into town tomorrow.

I really learn to say no, btw.

We lost power for about 2 hrs this morning, but all ok for now. My parents' subdivision was a bit like an obstical course, with downed or drooping trees.

Nothing like being half a continent away to escape an ice storm :)
Of course we're supposed to get some version of it here Sunday night/Monday morning.
