just for kicks, something nice happened. (please, no expiring from shock)
My checks on my new bank account (my very very own!!) arrived on Monday. a couple days early, I was impressed. but they were misprinted. they spelled my name wrong. *sigh*..so, on Tuesday, I walked up to the bank. the girl behind the counter recognized me, and apologized immediately, she had realized too late that she'd typed my name in wrong on the check order. she dealt with it, and said they'd be here by the end of the week. I didn't really expect that. I mean, it was 9 days the first time. and I wasn't complaining.
They arrived this morning, bright and early. it's nice to have a bank that will actually move their behinds when they make a booboo.

On an entirely different topic, does anyone have suggestions for chronic dandruff?and don't say medicated shampoos. they make it worse.

I have done precisely two things that worked for dandruff and both were shampoos: 1) get Nizerol in prescription strength, and 2) Use extra strength Denerex daily (which is far more often than their recommended max of two times a week) - and the Denerex really stings.

As I don't want to burn my scalp with Denerex and I still haven't gone to my new PCP for anything I currently have a head reminiscent of the Alps. Ah well.

As the person who sees his scalp the most, I can vouch for the efficacy of the prescription shampoo; Nizoral, unlike most dandruff shampoos, is an antifungal and therefore helps with dandruff that isn't just dry skin.

I have dry skin everywhere, myself, so I use the same remedy on my scalp that I do on the rest of my skin: moisturizer, in this case a good clean-rinsing conditioner. Cutting my hair short, keeping it that way (4 inches is long enough to make my scalp sweat then flake), and washing it every other day also keeps down the dandruff.
