I just want to know who designed this schedule, and no, it wasn't me. In some ways, its rather exhilerating. I went to a whole bunch of classes on a variety of topics (well..variety mostly within one field..so what)...I think I can learn a lot, and I still get a rush from starting new classes. On the other hand, I left my apartment before dawn this morning, and didn't get back until after 6pm. In December, this will bite in a big unhappy way.
So what. Where was I...oh yes...nifty classes. I'm not too keen on the theory, but at least it will be out of the way. Latin looks like it will be fun, and my instructor is a doll. Which always helps, although my concentration may not be what it's helping. *grin* Music tech will finally let me learn all those odd things people keep babbling about involvings sequencers and such. (you'd think I would know that by now, wouldn't you? nah...) And that one shouldn't be too hard, luckily. The music history...at least it won't be completely over my head, it looks like. It's overcrowded, but all the classes here are. And the music should be lovely, even if not my main field. andandand! I got permission from DrAtkinson to audit his graduate seminar!! *bouncebounce* This is _so_ exciting..yay! I get to take on an insane workload and try to keep up with the advanced musicology graduate students! *giggle* Masochist? Me? Of course not...I'm a geek, get it right. My masochism takes other forms. *preen*
So yes...I'm exhausted already, but pleased..seems like it will be a decent load of classes, if challenging. and frankly, who wants a boring load of classes for the sake of getting through easily?
I think I actually made it at least 2 hours today without thinking about you-know-you. *wrygrin* it's progress. But I can't stop missing Grinnell. Everything around OSU just points out more differences, and most of them aren't positive. but I'll survive. it's a talent, rapidly becoming a major skill...
